Chapters 3&4

In this chapter I learned that one can move up to a project manager pretty easily, which is something that I was wondering about in the last 2 chapters because of all the interaction with the other people in the project. I like managing and to be able to use my technical skills as well. I didn't know that flowchart software exists. In chapter 4 it talks about all the people that are involved in multimedia and Web Site production and I guess I didn't realise it took that many people. Did anyone else realise that before reading this?

  1. Yeah, I thought it was pretty crazy how many people it takes too. I think it would be hard to work with so many people, because you all have to have the same sort of vision.

  2. this might be where command responsibility and leadership skills would come into play when in the midst of writing a multimedia project. however, the reality is that if an organization or company is not well-off, the interactive writer might as well wear the hat of a usability expert, subject matter expert, interface designer, product manager, etc. let's just hope this doesn't happen to anyone real soon! if one is lucky, assuming the role of a writer would only entail project proposals, concept designs, and the like.

after all, i believe all of you have that edge on critical thinking and technical writing based on the different types of papers submitted in your major courses throughout your academic life. =)
