Chapters 1 & 2
I had no idea that creating a website would be so complicated and at the same time very fascinating. I haven't taken a class that went into detail about websites, but this book seems to define terms that make it easier for those who aren't familiar with the technical jargon to understand it. I will admit that I was a bit baffled by the amount of information in just two chapters.

am glad to know that the first couple introductory chapters were quite helpful for you overall and that the tone and easily-defined jargons by garrand were pretty much self-explanatory so far (despite its length). i agree that web production and designing concepts for multimedia may be fraught with difficulties yet interesting at the same time with its non-linearity function unlike any of our print-based/linear compositions. i hope that future difficulties from the readings could easily be mediated by our Studio Reviews, whole-class/group discussions, and outside support. let's keep on keeping on.
