Chapter 10 confused me when it discussed meta tags and alt tags. Maybe we can discuss it some more in class? It takes my brain time to wrap around technical jargon.
Chapter 11 interested me the most when it discussed how to make websites more user centric than content centric. Allowing visitors to cusomize their own webpages on the site is pretty cool. Keeping the audience in mind while creating the website is the biggest things I got out of this chapter.

Yeah, i think that was one of the most important points, writing for the audience and not for the sake of the writing itself. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be applicable.
ReplyDeletehi rosie, the meta tags and alt tags as we mentioned last week in class are not even found on the surface of the browser unless you click View as. the purpose of which was basically for the designer to control/use key terms for search engines (meta are text, while alt are for images).
ReplyDeleteshanin did a fine job last week highlighting the most important principles of creating marketing websites. one would sense that a web is designed for audience segmentation through its global and local navigation bars for the user to play around with. so as we design our own, we might want to think about how to navigate our site from the user's perspective. that would be a challenge indeed!
