Chapter 5

Most of the time these days, I just start writing!! Probably not the best habit to have. Having an outline is the foundation upon which you would build your story for a story board. Treatments are new to me. I still don't think I quite understand what they are. I have never heard of them before so it was interesting to learn a little bit about them. For example, using the third person and writing visually, using descriptions. I am excited to create a storyboard for one of my projects this semester.

  1. I agree, i think it will be interesting to see how all these elements we are using will come together to complete a whole.

  2. i concur. let's not forget as well our basic role as interactive writers in the process of web development. our ideas and justifications (c/o audience, goals, project description, etc) for the site go only as far as the "Pre-Production" is concerned. that is, the techy people cannot do anything without a go-signal from us to present the concept of the project as we clearly articulate the proposal, design document, etc.

once our client approves our concept, they'll tap the Development Team in the technology department to do the dirty work. HOWEVER, they might need to work closely with us to provide guidance to implement our ideas. our rhetorical approach and sensitivity to our audience will come into play here... along with our plan on usability and interface design.
